One of the great things about Tom Hanks is that he actually seems to be a nice guy off the screen, just like most of his characters on it. That’s why it’s great to see him getting a great tribute like this one by Jeff Victor, showing Hanks in probably his most famous performances.
Hanks is also one of those actors who made a complete transformation from the 1980’s to the 1990’s, from acting in rather mindless comedies and becoming one of Hollywood’s biggest stars and most acclaimed actors, winning two Academy awards for Philadelphia and Forrest Gump.
As for the rest of the films in this picture, can you recognize all of them? The 1984 one is Splash, playing as the guy who falls in love with a mermaid; The one from 1988 is obviously Big, playing the original 13 turned 30; In 1989 it’s the lovable Turner & Hooch; 1994 it’s his best and most famous role in Forrest Gump; 1995 is Apollo 13, followed by his voice work of Sheriff Woody from the Toy Story franchise; We move on to 1998 and his portrayal of Captain John H. Miller in Saving Private Ryan; Next up is a modern telling of Robinson Crusoe in Cast Away and the last one from 2006 is Hanks jumping into the novel adaptation of The Da Vinci Code.
