Mario games keep being relevant (and fantastic) after all these years, but some of us just can’t get over the classics.
It’s unbelievable how using only 8 bits, and three colors per sprite, Nintendo managed to create such recognizable and beloved characters and enemies. And being relatively simple and cool, it just means that they’re the best to represent in hand-made stuff, such as this quilt here. This great piece here was created by a Flickr user, who explains part of the process for those curious in her/his own site. Congratulations, and great job, we absolutely love it!
