The Star Wars universe has inspired fans to build cool stuff, and one guy in the Seattle area has carried on the tradition, building a 1/3 scale model of a TIE fighter.
This cool project comes to us from Geekologie. The guy is selling his creation on Craigslist, though the link could possibly go down by the time this hits Walyou.
“Have the coolest toy in your neighborhood!” the ad proclaims. It’s 8 x 8 x8 feet, but the TIE fighter breaks down for easy transporting, and comes with casters to make moving it around easier. Better yet, it shoots party poppers from the laser cannons.
The whole thing costs $150, but it will could very well have already sold by the time you see this. In any case, it’s still a pretty cool project. This guy must have been drinking that really good coffee they have in the Pacific Northwest.
If you’d rather see something from the Rebel Alliance rather than the Empire, check out this cardboard Millenium Falcon. If you still can’t get enough Star Wars, check out our post on some Nintendo mods, one of which is a TIE Fighter. Since we cover geek culture on this mod, Star Wars a pretty much a given. You can find much more stuff just by searching “Star Wars” on our site.
