Samsung seems to be on the right track with their latest flagship, the Galaxy S6 – although its launch softare seemed outdated at first.
The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge launched not that long ago and already became Samsung’s best flagship in quite some time. And surprisingly awesome as it is, its users have been clamoring its greatness across the web with only one complain: the lack of the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop update. It’s not like Samsung doesn’t have plenty of devices already running on the latest iteration of Google’s mobile OS, but it seems these are only high-end devices.
Still, there is hope that an update might be underworks as of now, as the rumor mill suggests Samsung are currently underway in bringing Android 5.1 for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, and even the Galaxy Grand Prime: it might be that Android is finally bringing the latest updates to their mid-range devices, which is great even if we don’t know the exact date this is happening. The final model that might end up getting a Lollipop build is the Galaxy Note 2, but as of now that is just hearsay, and it wouldn’t be surprising if the Korean giant never moves past Android KitKat on their second generation devices.
