Powermat is a convenient charging solution that eliminates the frustration of running out of power while on the go. With Powermat, you can skip the hassle and tangle of cords and simply set your device down to charge.
The Powermax 2X, introduced at CES 2011, is a two position mat with integrated high capacity battery. The included Powercube let’s you charge hundreds of devices right out of the box (with 8 included tips), and it packs a 7800 mAh lithium polymer battery that provides up to 4 full charges for most smartphones and even more for other devices.
What’s included in the box:
- 1 Powermat Rechargeable Mat
- 1 Universal Powercube
- 8 Power tips
- 1 Carry Case
- 1 Power Supply (100- 240VAC)
What isn’t included, however, is a Powermat Wireless Receiver compatible with your device (which must be bought separately).
The technology and innovation behind the latest generation of Powermat is simply amazing. A magnetic attraction between every Receiver and each access point on every Mat assures that alignment is precise and the most efficient charging will occur. This is one of the keys to the Powermat system’s ability to charge your devices as fast or faster than the original power adapter. Communication between the Mat and the Receiver (via RFID) allows the mat to deliver an exact amount of power for the proper length of time so that the transfer of power is safe and efficient and no energy is wasted.
A unique sound tells you that a solid connection has been made and your device is charging. A second, similar sound is heard when the device is removed. Each access point has a corresponding light indicator that informs you that your device is charging wirelessly. When a device reaches full charge, power is shut off to that device, which avoids overcharging of the device’s battery and saves energy.
