I’ll be the first to admit that it took me a long time to actually sit down and play Angry Birds. Sure, I had heard about it from just about every iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch owner that I know of, and I read articles raving about here and there, but I saw another addictive casual game that I just wouldn’t be into. Of course, this proved to be completely untrue once I sat down and played it, and I’ve since purchased the game, but I have to admit I was reminded of a lot of older ’90s physics based games like Worms. Boy did I love Worms. My friends and I still load up a game on Xbox live on occasion. Still, it makes sense then that someone would spoof the game images and make it look like it came out in 1991. Hilarity ensues.
To be absolutely correct, the images display an Angry Birds game being created in 1992. It makes sense to do such a parody given the fact that such a new and popular game borrowed quite a bit from popular predecessors around that time. Not that it’s a bad thing, as I’ve fully enjoyed the game and don’t mind burning some down time loading it up now and again.
If you’re looking for some other Angry Birds fun, I can point you in the right direction. If you want to munch on some angry birds, there’s these delicious Angry Birds cake pops. If you want a bit of function over form, then there’s also these Angry Bird iPhone/iPod touch cases. Speaking of the iPod touch, can I tell you how angry I am that Dungeon Defenders: First Wave is not supported on my old iPod touch? Why would you do this to me Apple? Why?!
