Batman Fan Creates a Fully Functional Batmobile

A functional Batmobile might be the ultimate fantasy geek car, obviously for Batman fans but also for most people who have even the slightest affections towards the Dark Knight.

It was built by a British fan, basing its look on the one that featured in the 1989 Batman film, directed by Tim Burton and starring Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne.

It’s based on a custom chasis and has a straight six, fuel injected modern Jaguar 3.2 litre engine with automatic transmission. It comes with a fully operational flame thrower and hydraulic suspension which can raise the car by a further nine inches.

Claims are it can hit 60 mph in only five seconds, but the best news for you are that it’s going to be up for sale at an auction on November 30, auctioned off by Historics at Mercedes-Benz World, Brooklands.
