Plagiarism is something that can definitely not be tolerated and thanks to intellectual property rights, most of the plagiarists can be brought to account. However, when a really big company is involved in an act of plagiarism, it just might prove to be a wee too difficult to digest. Google is known for its innovative but minimalist logos which catch attention, and Google Buzz logo looks minimalist and attractive too, similar to the Google Chrome logo by colors and simplicity.
However, the logo of the UNO “Wild Draw-Four” cards adds a certain twist to the story. The UNO logo looks strikingly similar to Google Buzz logo and the equal triangles of red, green, blue, and yellow colors are similar in both the logos.
While it may just be coincidence, one must know that Uno Logo was introduced in 1971 by Merle Robbins and is owned by Mattel Inc., where as Google Buzz Logo was introduced in 2010 by the Google Buzz Team and is owned by Google Inc. Now it is for you to decide if the Google Buzz logo is just a coincidence or if something cheeky exists beneath it. I am sure Google would not want to comment on the similarities between the two minimalist logos!
