Ever since its inception, the name Toshiba has been synonymous with innovation. This time, they have come up with their unique Libretto W100 laptops with dual 7-inch diagonal multi-touch screens, which work both vertically and horizontally.
This gives you more options to enjoy reading your e-books, watching your favorite movie, listening to music, or browsing through your photos. It also offers a virtual keyboard instead of the usual physical one, along with a soft track pad with which you can click, browse, and type the way you want. With a weight less than 2 pounds and a durable clamshell design, it also has a black metallic finish as its external case.
The Libretto W100 is powered by Windows 7 Home Premium and gives you complete multimedia capabilities and familiar navigation. It comes with Intel Pentium U5400 processor, that will power you to do your work anywhere you go.
The Libretto W100 also gives you freedom from wires and comes with Wireless-N to keep you on the go. It has an in-built webcam and an integrated Bluetooth v2.1 to make full use of your wireless mouse, speakers, or headphones. You will also have a built-in memory reader and a USB port to enable you to transfer data to and forth. With integrated Intel HD graphics, it also has a decent 2GB of DDR 3 memory. Again, you will also have a 62GB solid state drive with the Toshiba Libretto W100, to be powered by an 8-cell battery.
The virtual keyboard on the Libretto W100 is one of its most striking features. You can hold it with two hands and can even type with your thumb. It can also be put on a table and used just like any other laptop. Just next to the ‘close’ and ‘minimize’ boxes on every window, you will find a new tool which allows you not only to snap a window from one screen to the other, but also to maximize one window on both displays. The Toshiba Libretto W100 will cost you US$ 1,099.99, but comes in a limited stock. There is also the additional model, the Toshiba Libertto W105, available for $1059.
