Spanish artist Lorenzo Duran doesn’t use a canvas for his art, he uses leafs as his canvas. It’s a lot more difficult than simply drawing whatever it is that’s on his mind, but it’s a hell of a lot more impressive.
Duran first washes the leafs and then dries them, before beginning a procedure that is very much like paper cutting, but with need to work your hands with surgical precision, making it a lot more difficult than pretty much anything else involving art, taking into account the delicate state of the base material.
It takes quite a deal of patience and hand steadiness to be a leaf sculptor, and your art might detriorate much quicker than any other form if not kept right, but it’s probably worth it when done absolutely right and perfect, like Duran manages to do.
