There are times when you see something and wonder what is it exactly relating to and when you get to know what it is, you get completely excited. Now that excitement can be the bad excitement or the good excitement.
Anyways, what I am talking about today is the LEGO Version of Monty Python’s Crimson Permanent Assurance. I know not many of you are aware of The Crimson Permanent Assurance because it is a way too old movie. In fact, I would say it is a classic which got lost in the pages of history.
But, thanks to some guys out there who try and remind us of the beautiful age of cinema. Yup, now I am sure you guessed it out that this particular short movie known as the LEGO The Crimson Permanent Assurance was released back in 1983. Unfortunately, it never was a major hit to be remembered by many of us, but still, the concept was invigorating.
Now, imagine you combine such a movie concept with LEGO, what will you get? You will get an artwork which is not only amusing but also a memorabilia of the past. This is exactly what this LEGO Version of Monty Python’s Crimson Permanent Assurance is.
Some guy who goes by the name gotoAndLego designed this thing and kept the pictures on Flickr and so it caught our attention. Our first thought over it was that it is one mind-blowing piece of art.
Honestly, to me, even thinking of such a movie that was never a hit but sure did have a very fascinating plot is a great idea. This is what I call a risk taker. I mean, think of it for a while – the guy could have designed a Super Mario Bros thingy and so on but he didn’t. He chose to revive a classic which I am quite sure he knew nobody remembers. Anyways, here it is and not only did he do a great job but with his efforts a lot of us are now aware of what the movie actually was. All hail gotoAndLego!
