Sleeptracker Watch Wakes You Up When You Are Ready

Ever felt that sleep is overrated or maybe that you never get enough? Sometimes we barely sleep and feel refreshed, and other times we sleep many hours and still feel tired. What if your wrist watch could wake you up when your body is good and rested! What if it could tell when you slept enough, and help you get up and feel great!

Sleeptracker has wristwatches that track your sleep. During your sleep cycles, its sensors can tell when the right time for you to wake up is.

Since the watch is on your wrist, it can sense your different ‘almost awake’ moments and wakes you up when you have passed the necessary sleep cycles and are good to go. You simply set a window of time for your wake up call, and the Sleeptracker watch will monitor when the best time for you to get up during that time.

Moreover, there is the Sleeptracker Pro model, which grants additional features such as: a vibrating and ringing alarm, 90 minute wake-up window, and also a possibility to upload your sleeping patterns to your computer for further inspection.

If you feel like you sleep enough but do not seem to be refreshed, you can read more information on Sleeptracker’s How it Works. The Sleeptracker standard model is priced at Sleeptracker Shop.

Build Your Own Matchbox Camera

Do you believe that you could build your own camera?

I recently saw this great video by Hashbash in Metacafe, where he presents a short step by step tutorial to build you own matchbox camera. It doesn’t seem complicated, and if you have some spare time it looks like an actual fun “do it yourself” project.

Don’t worry about your speakers, for this cool video is without sound. The video does have text to compensate and explains all the steps. According to Hashbash, all the materials used for this project cost less than $7.

I hope you will enjoy the video. If you decide to try this, please let us know how it went.

Segway i2 Ferrari Limited Edition

Every time I see the Segway Scooter in a presentation, TV, or in real life, I immediately get a child-like smile across my face…these are simply great.

I previously tried riding one, and I loved it. It was easy to maneuver, great usability, and simply fun. The one thing I wasn’t all excited about is the conservative color of gray it has. It seems too dull and monotone to be on a cool two-wheeled electronic product. That is not the case anymore.

What can be cooler then a Segway Scooter that is branded by the one and only Ferrari? The Segway is now available in Ferrari Red.

It is hot red and branded with the famous Cavallino Rampante badge to make it a true Ferrari product. It even has a high price tag of approximately $12,000 (€ 7.083,33).

Since it is a Ferrari Segway, one would expect it to also be faster then the PTi2 model, but unfortunately this is the downfall. The looks are different, the price is different, but the speed is just the same.

For more information, you can check out the Ferrari Store.

Cheap photography DIY for zoom and clarity

For all you photographers who would like to get closer to the subject without losing the clarity, an Achromatic Diopter can help. These are mostly expensive, so a Do It Yourself project could be fun and not hurt your wallet.

Daniel Schweinert has written a guide to build an Achromatic-Diopter in 2 easy steps. Based on your camera lens size, you can use a pair of binoculars and then search or build a holder for the lens.

The video below shows some examples of the clarity during close ups and zoom.

Just Add Water to Charge Your Cell Phone

How many times have we heard of water damaging a cell phone or PDA? Someone accidentally spilled some water on it, dropped it in the sink, or maybe pushed someone in the pool while it was still in their pocket. Sometimes you can save your wet cell or PDA, but what if instead of ruining our products, water will power them!

Samsung is developing a cell phone battery that its fuel cells will run on Water. Sounds pretty cool right? The water combined with the cell phone metal interior will create Hydrogen gas, which will then generate energy when it reacts with Oxygen.

This process supposedly generates enough energy to power your cell phone for 10 hours…kind of amazing. The main problem is that the hydrogen cells would have to be replaced once or twice a week. While still working on it, they are attempting to develop it so all you would have to do is just add water to charge your cell phone.

Don’t go rushing to the store looking for these, for they aren’t supposed to be available until 2010 or so.
