Despite Sackboy’s cuteness and wide-eyed innocence, he could never really occupy a place in our hearts and minds like Mario did and does. That doesn’t mean that these 4″ action figures are any less cooler though. With the imminent release of LittleBigPlanet 2, there’s no better time to grab them and make them a part of premiere night at your place.
User-generated content and character customization are all the rage these days, and games like LittleBigPlanet enable gamers to unleash their creativity to enhance their gaming experience. Sackboy was seen as Sony’s answer to Mario and Sonic and was widely praised for its innovative gameplay, specifically the true-to-life physics engine. There’s no better way to get an emotional uplift than to be reminded of all that hard work put into customizing characters and creating interesting levels and then exploring them with your friends.
For a mere $14.99 over at Thinkgeek, you don’t just get one, but THREE action figures, Sackboy Regular, Sackboy Tongue and Neon which is by far my personal favorite. There’s also a Pop-it Lasso and sticker sheet thrown in the mix, so you can create LittleBigPlanet levels from household objects. An ideal addition to your action figure collection, or just to add a little bit of color and fun to your monotonous workspace. Sackboy to the rescue, courtesy of kind folks at Thinkgeek of course.
To see other instances where Sackboy has been creating a bit of mischief, take a look at the Sackboy Bento Box among 16 others and a collection of 19 epic papercraft video game characters, featuring Sackboy in a variety of different costumes. If y0u’ve got little to occupy your time while you wait for LittleBigPlanet 2 to come out, there’s also the awesome Ninja Sackboy cake and the Spock Sackboy Doll.
