Satechi Touch USB LED Lamp Needs An Empty Bottle as a Base
Lamp designs are pretty diverse, to say the least, but not many manufacturers give you the option of using a base of your choice.
Satechi Touch USB LED lamp is the ideal table lamp for persons who grow bored easily. One day they could use a bottle of Coke and the next day a bottle of expensive French cognac as the base for this product. In theory, plastic bottles could also represent a home for Satechi Touch, but it’s safer to use the glass ones, despite the fact that LEDs don’t generate a lot of heat.
In order to use the lamp with the bottles you may have at hand, you need to make sure that the neck of the bottle is large enough to fit the lamp. Supposing that you want to move it elsewhere and it doesn’t fit the decor in its current configuration, you are free to swap the bottle with a more adequate one.
Pictured above is the Satechi Touch set up in a Coke bottle, while below it uses a glass skull as its base. As a basic rule here, any glass object that has a hole in it will be just fine for creating an innovative lamp.
Once the lamp has been inserted in the bottle, the USB plug must be connected so that the LEDs light up. Turning this lamp on is as simple as it gets. No, it won’t react to clapping, but it only needs a touch to turn the light on.
If you’re interested in numbers, here are some for you: the lamp is compatible with both USB 2.0 and 3.0, the LEDs consume 1.2 watts of power and are rated for 50,000 hours. All these aspects make it a great choice for anyone looking for something different.
One of the strongest points of this lamp is its convenient price. More precisely, the USB LED lamp can be purchased off the Satechi website for only $24.99.
The good news is that with the Satechi Touch USB LED lamp you have virtually unlimited choices as to what base to choose. The bad news is that in the process you might turn into an alcoholic. Of course, you will always have the possibility to use a normal lamp base or even a vase, to reduce the alcohol consumption.
