Now it is possible to party under the sea, literally. The world’s first underwater bar and nightclub has just opened at the Niyama Resort in the Maldives.
Subsix allows you to get drunk and get high as you watch tropical sea life right outside the glass walls of the snazzy bar. The club is accessible only by boat and is located 500 meters offshore, submerged 6 meters in the ocean. You can watch and admire exotic sea life through the glass walls that cover the nightclub on three sides, floor to ceiling.
Subsix will surely be an expensive place to party and it is well known that mostly well heeled travelers go to the Maldives any which way. There are more than a 1000 tiny islands most of which are uninhabited. The islands have great white sand beaches and warm tropical climate year around, making the Maldives one of the most exotic travel destinations in the world.
It is not clear how much you will have to pay to get inside the resort but it will surely be a very expensive affair.
