I still wonder about some of Dumbledore's motives. He intentionally left this mirror out in the open, gave Harry a powerful invisibility cloak--which he knew was one of the Deathly Hallows--knowing full well Harry was gonna explore, and then spied on him as the child spent hours obsessed over his family. To quote Dumbledore: It shows us nothing more or less than the deepest, most desperate desire of our hearts.
