Geekness permeates every aspect of our lives, and can be found in the most unexpected of places, for example, a wheelchair.
This 44-pound wheelchair is completely made out of LEGO. Yes, read that again: LEGO! It was built by Simon Burfield, using 6 Lego Mindstorms NXTs, 12 Mindstorms motors, 12 Lego Mindstorms touch sensors…and a “whole load of Lego Technic”. We bet it also took many hours to calculate a perfect structure that’d be able to carry someone around without breaking in half. We know that’s what would happen if we had planned it instead. Ouch.
