Star Wars Identities is an exhibition that premiered at the Montreal Science Centre on April 19, 2012. The exhibition explores the stories, myths, causes and reasons behind the various Star Wars characters.
The exhibition also encourages the visitor to question what these characters might have endured and what could have made them the people that they are, in the epic science fiction saga.
This journey of exploring Star Wars characters’ identities would also encourage the visitor to question their own identities and understand which force governs them the most. The exhibition featured high definition posters put together by creative agency Bleu Blanc Rouge (Blue White Red in French). The agency used different characters like Darth Vader, C3PO, Yoda and many others. The exhibition features these posters and many other images, videos and paraphernalia collected from Star Wars archive.
All that is put together to help the visitors explore the identities behind each Star Wars character. Like mentioned earlier, these journeys that explore each particular character from Star Wars are unique and will also help the visitor to decide whether their own personalities have any relationship with the ones that they find in the Star Wars characters. Meanwhile, the posters look really amazing and some of them actually seem to be inspired by Rorschach Inkblot Cards, which are used by psychologists to map their clients’ mind.
If you are in North America or if you are planning to visit Canada anytime soon, you might also want to visit TELUS World of Science in Edmonton, as there too the exhibition would be held on October 27, 2012 through April 1, 2013. Star Wars Identities may just be one of the ways to explore your own inner dynamics. If you are lazy enough to visit either Montreal or Edmonton, you could also ask one of those friendly psychologists for a Rorschach Inkblot Test to map your personality.
You could also take a look at Geonosis at Star Wars Miniland, which would interest Lego fans.
