There’s still no official date for the release of Assassin’s Creed 5: Unity, but Ubisoft have finally released some in-game video, a sneak peek if you will, from a video game they’ve been working on for the past three years.
Unity is supposed to come out in late 2014 (Q4 probably), released on the PS4, Xbox one and Windows. It will be set during the French Revolution, and feature an assassin named Arno.
The official Assassin’s Creed Twitter account confirmed that the video is gameplay and not cut scenes. It is the first to be exclusively developed for the Next Gen consoles.
There is another Assassin’s Creed game is rumored to be in development (Comet?), which might be either a mobile title or a game for last generation consoles, which means a possibility of two AC games for the PC in one year.
Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, which came out just under six months ago was considered to be as a return to form for the franchise, mostly thanks to the excellent naval combat and rich, fascinating open world to explore. We already see the graphics on Unity are going to be something spectacular, but it’s going to take more than that to make the game a success both in the “box office” and with critics.
