Yummy cakes have gone way beyond being just sweet and savory and simple. If you have an idea it’s on the cake. If Ninjas are what you seek, then Ninja cake is what you get, courtesy Jim Meador.
A diehard fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT), Jim, when asked to bake a cake for a kid’s 5th birthday, was ecstatic. The result was this 8 inch strawberry flavored treat that resembled a manhole with the turtles on it, made from butter cream icing and fondant decoration. Each ninja head is made separately and he had to tint and roll out each of the colored bandanas which was cut out to give them eyes and later filled with icing. The manhole cover was also made with fondant, colored to match the real thing.
The man behind this sugary delight, Jim Meador loves baking cakes and has a dedicated blog for all his successful mouthwatering treats he custom makes for people.
With the cake that looks so yummylicious, cutting it would be the last thing on anyone’s mind. And even if it happens, it will surely be after a long time of starring and showing off, amidst the many oohhh’s and aawwww’s. Surely a great way to have a memorable birthday!
