Most kids during the nineties were familiar with Origami and other Japanese influenced papercrafts, and these were limited to simple paper folds that created minimalist but pretty pieces of craft.
However, if you took a look at this Mario Papercraft, you would realize that it is a whole lot more than just papercraft, or Origami or whatever you might want to call it.
It is one of the most complex ways to create something out of paper and I bet it would take quite some time for you to learn how to do it. The Mario Papercraft depicts Mario’s trademark pose from Wii fighting game Super Smash Bros and if you would like to build it yourself, you can find the templates here.
The Super Mario papercraft (SSBB version) was created by Ignatius and could be an inspirational moment for those who were looking for a great hobby to learn and begin with. You could also check out other papercraft works like the Nintendo Gameboy Papercraft, World of Warcraft Characters Papercraft and Futuristic Insect Origami made of stainless steel.
