As soon as December hits the Christmas craze begins: lights go up, people start Christmas shopping and everything becomes Christmas themed. This holiday may only happen once a year, but it takes a whole month of pre-planning and pre-celebration. In North America, every culture and religion is celebrating the holidays in their own way. Even Bowser is getting into the Christmas spirit.
This model by KodyKoala is taking all of the familiar Christmas characters associated with Santa when he is delivering presents to all the children who are nice, except the characters are replaced with villains that appear in the Mario game series. It’s and evil yet fun addition to the holiday collection.
Every character in this model is replaced by Mario characters. They added a red-nose onto the cloud so he can fulfill the role of Rudolf, while the other reindeers are a combination of the green and red flying turtles (which are, incidentally, the same colours that are known as Christmas colours). Since Bowser is the boss he, of course, plays the role of Santa Clause and Bowser Jr. has the honour of being one of the elves that join him in his sleigh. Instead of giving out gifts, he has a wonderful surprise of Bob Ombs ready for Mario and the children of the world. I’m sure it doesn’t matter to Bowser whether the child has been naughty or nice.
Apparently the creator of this model has been working on this for a while, but this piece was created just in time for the holiday it was meant for.
