We all use credit cards, as they are a great replacement for cash, and way less messy, but how many of us truly have a card we can call our own? And that’s exactly the idea behind this list: to show 27 incredible designs we’ve found around the web, that either because of the stuff they reference, or unique creativity behind them, are cards that stand out. Watch out, though, just because they look incredible, it doesn’t mean your credit rating is suddenly gonna look great. Use at your own risk!
Ceiling Cat Credit Card
Via: The Finished Box
Ceiling Cat, one of the most well known members of the LOLcat family stars on this credit card which is surely going to either turn non-believers into believers, or at least, get a smile from the sellers. Just look at him, it’s so cute.
Firefox Credit Card
Via: Wired
Our favorite web browser, Mozilla’s Firefox, has its logo featured at the central part of this card. We love the gamma and logo the Mozilla guys designed, but having it as a credit card? We had never thought about that. Congratulations to the genius behind this!
The Sims Credit Card
Via: Ubergizmo
EA might be best known amongst gamers for some of their other franchises, but The Sims has a special appeal for many gamers and non-gamers, and being that the every-day life simulation deals with money a lot, we think these four designs are oddly fitting. Still, hey, how about a Mass Effect series of cards? Wouldn’t that be awesome?
Hyperbole And Half Credit Card
Via: Nonexiste
Ally’s comic now turned meme, Hyperbole and Half, is the strip referenced in this card. We wish we could share her excitement at seeing the red numbers every time we open our bank account’s page. She also looks pretty demanding, and we wouldn’t want to contradict her.
Gundam Credit Card
Via: GeekPinoy
Japan exports a lot of things, but our favorite are the mechas displayed in their anime, and possibly the most well-known mechas at this side of the pond are the ones featured in Gundam. Sorry, Macross (or Robotech, depending where you live), maybe next time you’ll get a reference too!
Linux Credit Card
Via: Playfool
To be honest, we’re Windows users for the most part, yet we could only wish Windows had such a charming mascot. The Linux penguin decorates this card, purely for geeks, and more than a replacement for cash is a statement of pure geekery. And for that, we love it!
Chocolate Credit Card
To be honest, we’d be too tempted to eat this Chocolate Credit Card. Does anyone know if saliva affects the magnetic bands? It’s just that the chocolate look too realistic, and to be honest, we haven’t had anything to eat in a while now.
Transformers Credit Card
Via: Fropki
These two Credit Cards are more than meets the eye. They not only look awesome, but also, represent savings! The next step is clearly getting transforming cards we can play with.
Futurama Fry
Another character turned into meme. The picture is taken from Futurama, starring fry, who in the original TV Show was screaming at this point “shut up and take my money!!”. It became an instant classic, and now is featured on this card over here.
Bender Credit Card

And, because Fry needs a companion, no one’s better fit for it than the robot Bender, also from Futurama. We now need a Leela card, or Amy. And then, we can just picture people going “need a character to feature in your credit card? Why not Zoidberg?”.
Capcom IV Credit Cards
Capcom, the video game producer, is mostly known for the Resident Evil and Street Fighter franchises, prominently featured in these four Credit Cards. We only want to see some Megaman, now. Why did you have to cancel Megaman Legends 3, Capcom? We would have paid with our new credit cards, and everything would have been perfect.
Batman Credit Card
The Dark Knight is probably the most well-known comic book character of all time, and as such, deserves a place of honor in a list like this. Now that Nolan’s trilogy is over and he has cemented a rock-hard place in pop culture (not like he hadn’t before, but this is a Batman that both fans and non-fans are comfortable with), his presence was a given, but still awesome. He may not be the credit card we deserve, but he’s the credit card we need.

Me Gusta Meme Credit Card
Imagine this: all your life, you’ve been paying in hard-earned cash and bills, and suddenly, out of nowhere, comes your first credit card. What’s your reaction? “Me gusta”, indeed. Me gusta (“I like” in Spanish) is one of the most popular rage faces (a series of templates which people use to generate their own comics) and a lovely addition to this collection.

World Of Warcraft Credit Cards
Source: The Finished Box
Now here’s a sight to behold! Six credit cards from the most beloved and played MMORPG in existence, Blizzard’s World of Warcraft. The only problem we could imagine having is if a seller refused to take one of these cards because he belongs to the Horde or Alliance, instead, and would never help an enemy. War, war never changes. Guess we would have to take our money elsewhere.
Pikachu Credit Card
Via: The Finished Box
Pikachu is the most well-known of the over 600 Pokemon that exist as of now, but on top of that, his yellow and red gamma look really cool on a golden credit card, so this is sort of like a match made in designer heaven. It really does look damn cool. We can picture ourselves stretching out the card to give it to someone, while yelling “Pikachu, Thundershock!” from the top of our lungs.
