Huawei just announced that its Mate 30 Pro 5G cellphone will now be available in the UAE. This is the first time the phone has been launched outside China. Those who live in the UAE will be able to walk in to one of the Huawei experience stores and pick one up for themselves. Other retailers will begin to sell it from January 23rd onward. You can choose between orange and emerald green. In the United Arab Emirates, the phone is priced at $1,061.
Good news for Huawei fans across the world except in the US
Huawei’s Mate 30 Pro has been received warmly by tech reviewers, and so far, only the 4G version was available in certain markets. The 5G version was available in China though. However, with the launch of the 5G version in UAE, we can expect other the phone to be available in other countries too. If you live in the US, Huawei’s Mate 30 Pro 5G will not be available, just like the 4G isn’t. This is due to a ban on Huawei’s products imposed by America. If you were wondering how the 4G variant differs from the newer 5G variant, there aren’t many differences.
Here are the main features of Huawei’s Mate 30 Pro 5G
- The 5G variant comes with a stunning 6.53-inch OLED display
- It features an in-display fingerprint scanner
- The 7nm Kirin 990 5G chipset ensures the phone is always snappy and quick
- The huge 4,500 mAh battery charges quickly, thanks to the 40W fast charging option
- It also comes with an attractive 40 MP camera
Huawei’s Mate 30 Pro 5G is a good investment
Huawei’s P30 Pro supported Google Mobile Services. However, Mate 30 series will not. Instead, Huawei will launch what it calls the Huawei Mobile Services. For now, you will still have to wait in order to lay your hands on this snappy cellphone. However, if you are planning to travel to UAE sometime soon, you can pick up a Mate 30 Pro 5G for yourself. As the phone comes with a stunning camera, great display and powerful battery, it is a good investment that will last you for a few years.
