What would Minecraft be like in real life? A short film called MINECRAFT: Day one shows us what it might be like.
Harvesting resources, building homes and killing zombies is a heck of a lot of fun in Minecraft, but that might only be because it’s a video game. What would it be like if you had to take care of all of these things in real life? Somewhat terrifying, apparently.
According to our source, the film was put together by film maker Benjamin Combes for an approximate budget of under $15. I’m guessing that means he owned most of the props and locations beforehand, because it’s actually quite well done for a zero budget flick.
Check out the full video below. Be warned, it’s a little bit gory, but if you’ve ever seen any zombie killing action before then you should be able to handle it.
I’m actually pretty impressed with the zombie killing action in this flick. It certainly underlines the fact that if you’re just hanging out in your home after a long day of work, having a screen skinned, brain-eating intruder come visit you won’t be the most pleasant way to spend an evening. I think it would be pretty cool if these guys made a full-blown zombie movie, or at least continued with the concept because I think they could probably put together something really great.
In other news, apparently the Xbox 720 will be 6 times as powerful as the Xbox 360 and also World’s Largest Video Game Controller.
