It’s always nice re-visiting at memorable and loved movie scenes from a different perspective or medium, like drawings that recreate magical moments in both a realistic and fantastic way.
Artist Jeff Delgado has a unique and impossible to ignore style in his work, taking scenes from films and reshaping them in a way that’s very true to the original, but is undoubtedly his, and no, it has nothing to do with his signature on the work.
Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens
I wonder if in Episode VIII we’ll pick up right from this moment, with Luke giving Rey his tormented look.
Spaceballs
Back to the Future 2
Batman vs Superman
One of the better moments in a seriously flawed film (Still really enjoyed it).
Fight Club
Terminator 2
Predator
The Shining
The Princess Bride
Someone once referred to this film as “The Chick Flick Guys Love”
Weird Science
Field of Dreams
I loved Married With Children’s spoof of this film.
A League of Their Own
This reminds me that the Baseball playoffs are upon us very soon.
Bloodsport
My favorite on this list. Not the movie, the artwork.
Cool Hand Luke
Down by Law
An unknown Italian (at the time) makes his American debut.
You can start following his fantastic work on Facebook, where you’ll find original artworks along with plenty of fan art, honoring movies, music, TV and video games. He also has a Society6 page, where you can purchase his work.
His artwork reminds me of Josh Cooley’s book, a Pixar artist, of classic and memorable movie scenes, drawn and remade as if this was actually a drawing in a children’s book.
