17 Fantastic Portraits of Game of Thrones Characters

This time, no spoilers. Just brilliant portraits of most of the main cast of the Game of Thrones HBO show, and no real mentions of what happens later on in the books of A song of Ice and fire, so you can read the commentary for every character without fearing of something slipping out.

Joffrey Baratheon

The most unpopular character in the books and the TV show by far. Currently the king of Westeros, and a pretty bad king at that.

Margaery Tyrell

The show gives us a different kind of vibe from the Margaery in the books, showing us the woman who is to be queen as very ambitious and determined to get a crown put on her head through marrying Joff.

Melisandre of Asshai

The red woman who likes to get down and dirty with Stannis so she can gives us freakish shadow babies to do nasty things.

Loras Tyrell, the Knight of Flowers

The prettiest man in all of Westeros, and a damn fine fighter and jouster as well.

Tyrion Lannister

The best character ever in a fantasy series? Just might be the imp everybody loves.

Sansa Stark

Everyone likes to blame her for a lot of things, but she’s just a teenage girl who fell in love and was woken up to a harsh reality.

Asha Greyjoy

Just so you don’t get confused – This is Theon’s sister who got named Yara in the show because the producers thought having an Asha and an Osha in the same show will be a bit confusing.

Viserys Targaryen

I really miss him, both in the show and in the books. But he got himself a crown for a king, and the rest is history.

Robb Stark

The king in the north, who has never lost a battle, but is probably falling in love for the wrong woman to fall in love with, especially in a time of war.

Daenerys Targaryen

A moody teenage girl with a chip on her shoulder and three growing dragons. Everyone should be afraid, be very afraid.

Bran Stark

The unluckiest boy in the North, but within hides a great power that Bran needs to find how to use.

Catelyn Tully

A woman who keeps seeing or hearing about loved ones dying or disappearing.

Jon Snow

All alone in the cold harsh north, but luckily he has Ygritte to keep him warm at night.

Ned Stark

Too bad he lost his head because he couldn’t play the game.

Jaime Lannister

The kingslayer is probably the awesomest nickname in the world, but Jaime doesn’t seem to like it. Reminds him of… bad things.

Arya Stark

Has there ever been a tougher-than-nails little girl than Arya?

Cersei Lannister

Bitches don’t come meaner, or prettier, than Cersei.
