We all know how Splinter named each of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles based on a famous artist from the Renaissance era but would he approve of his four turtles created with such renditions in tribute of those artists?
These cool images seen at NRBS provide another look at the Ninja Turtles but in a more relaxed, spiritual and artistic version. Without a fighting scene to represent them, each of the four was drawn in a version of their artistic counterparts (or artworks) and seems like a great fit. Moroever, some additional (or more recent) artist were also added to the list, and really presented the various Ninja Turtles in an artistic but hilarious way.
Leonardo begins by being drawn as the famous Leonardo Da Vinci Drawing of the “Vitruvian man”. Michaelangelo is also depicted as the artist’s version of “The Creation of Adam”, and there is also an ode to Picasso, Pollack, Salvador Dali and a few more.
Although none were not done by the original artists (of course!?), they are still pretty cool to look at. Of all of these, which version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles do you like best?
Thanks Steve for the tip!
