Designed Zombie Proof Car Takes Center Stage at Comic-Con

Taking on the original artist renderings, Hyundai showcased the ultimate in zombie proof transportation at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego, California.

Less than a month ago, we at Walyou brought to your attention sketches for the ultimate in zombie proof rides. A partnership between Hyundai and Robert Kirkman, the mastermind behind The Walking Dead, was formed and the result was a truly pimped out Hyundai Coup with everything one would need to battle zombies AND get to the grocery store. The design featured spikes, armored windows, and a top hatch. Well, now dreams turn into reality as Hyundai showcased the actual model at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego, California. Known as the Elantra Coupe Zombie Survival Machine,  it is definitely the model coupe you want to be driving when the living dead start taking over the streets of your neighborhood.

Now I wonder how much a car like that would go for? Can you really put a price tag on a car that could save your butt from the zombie apocalypse? While this is the only model currently available, with recent stories about zombies coming from all points around the globe, maybe it is time to send Hyundai a message to start the assembly line up? I’d drive one of these in a heartbeat. Seriously.
