Today, March 22nd, 2012, we witnessed the launch of Angry Birds Space, the highly anticipated third special edition spin-off of the Angry Birds mobile game application. But this new version of the popular gaming app has been hyped up to be out of this world, a promise which only multiple hours of game play will be able to truly account for.

NASA offered up their support for the new Angry Birds in Space program – er, app.
National Geographic’s Angry Birds Book
Rovio teamed up with National Geographic to bring Angry Birds Space: A Furious Flight Into the Final Frontier, written by Amy Briggs. This book takes readers of all ages and engages them in the science of Outer Space in a more attractive manner. The Angry Birds Space book features four levels, including Level One, “You Are Here: What’s Out There?” Level Two, “Short Flights: The Inner Solar System,” Level Three, “Longer Journey: The Outer Solar System” and Level Four, “Flying Farther: Deep Space.” It retails on National Geographic’s website for $13.95.
The Angry Birds on The Daily
The Daily is featuring a special edition, “Birds in Space,” which goes behind the scenes of Angry Birds in Space, including the making of the game and in addition to some amazing space stories.
