April will be here soon, and with it will come HBO’s Game of Thrones’ highly anticipated second season. In the ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ novels series, the second book, which is the basis for the second season, is called A Clash of Kings. The internet has been abuzz for months, and it’s only getting stronger as April 1 draws nearer.
The book series has had its huge share of following for over a decade now, but the TV show kicked into another level, which meant that the amazing artworks of characters and scenes from the books also went into another gear.
Elia Fernandez, aka Daenerys-mOd on deviantart.com, has been creating beautiful drawings of the ladies from ASOIAF, too good not to share and spread.
Daenerys Targaryen
Daenerys went from a frightened child, tormented by her brother viserys, to a Khaleesi, widow and mother to three dragons, who, she hopes, will help her take over Westeros.
Catelyn Tully
If there ever was a tragic figure in the series, it has to be Cat, or Lady Stark as many call her after her wedding to Ned Stark.
Margaery Tyrell
Spoiler alert – It seems like very bad luck to be married to Highgarden’s fairest daughter.
Cersei Lannister
Poster child for incestuous relationships and later on, a shameful fall from grace.
Lyanna Stark
Ned’s dead sister, and Robert’s one true love. Still very much a mystery regarding her death and her role in the unfolding of the events after the rebellion. R+L=J?
Melisandre
The red lady, who will make her fiery debut to those who watch the show, but haven’t read the books, pretty soon. Maybe even in the opening scene of the second season.
Arya Stark
The ultimate role model for tomboys.
Ygritte
Gave birth to one of the more famous one liners in a song of ice and fire – “You know nothing, Jon Snow.”
Jeyne Westerling
Spoiler Alert – Robb’s downfall.
Elia Martell
Like many of the characters that died before we, as readers/viewers join the timeline, mystery regarding her true role in things still surrounds the character.
Meera Reed
Asha Greyjoy
She’ll be named differently for the show, as the producers don’t want viewers to be confused with the wildling Osha.
Lysa Tully
Crazy-ass bitch.
Sansa Stark
If there’s one character you wish you could slap in the face every once in a while… Season 2 will give you a couple more of those moments.
Brienne
Brienne of Tarth, and she only gets uglier as the story progresses.
Lady Stoneheart
Someone of the ladies mentioned above will become this revenge-filled creature.
