A new premium collectible Lara Croft: Tomb Raider statue has just been released and it looks pretty top-notch for a collector’s item.
Who doesn’t like Lara Croft? She’s the embodiment of everything that drives guys to gaming. The original video game babe is back, this time in the form of a Sideshow Collectibles exclusive statue.
According to our source, this Lara Croft is supposed to mirror the one we’ll be seeing in the franchise reboot Tomb Raider: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light that was released last year over Xbox 360.
This premium statue is cast in polystone and clothed with real fabric. The piece was designed by artist Adam Hughes, who is apparently quite well known for his high detail illustrations that combine pin-up art and ultra-realism. What’s great about these statues, other than how awesome they look, is that they are each hand-crafted and thus unique.
The statue stands at 19″ by 10″ by 15″, not a bad size for a collector’s item and piece designed to grab the attention of anyone who walks into the room. I can totally see one of these looking right at home on my mantle next to my Chris Redfield, Predator and Bobba Fett figurines and busts.
These statues go for 350 British pounds, which roughly translates to around 500 bucks over here. Not cheap by any means, but definitely a worth while vanity piece for the well-to-do geek amongst us.
