Check out who’s gracing the walls on one lucky building in Liverpool, England, Raiden from the upcoming Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
Slicing up cyborg mercenaries and robots is a fine art in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and so could be said of the action game’s advertising methods in the U.K. Pictured here by Jamie Winstanley, it’s the first of three murals featuring titular pretty boy and cyber-ninja, Raiden.
This one here is located in Liverpool – the fourth most populated city in England – and was put up by professional street artists EndoftheLine, who used a fantastic rendition of Raiden from Metal Gear Solid’s noted illustrator Yoji Shinkawa as their spray-painted template. Pretty awesome, eh?
The next two Raiden murals will soon be going up in nearby Leeds and London, hopefully right before Revengeance’s February 22 release in Europe, which is a few days after the North American retail date on the 19th.
Geeze, that looks so flippin’ great. Shinkawa’s art really shines no matter the locale – paper canvas or downtown building wall. Now if only we had a picture of what the mural might look like after dark…
Ah sweet! Thanks a plenty, Konami for the above pic! Oh, and partial thanks to Jamie Winstanley (@InvisibleTOMCAT on Twitter) for snapping these images for the Internet to see.
