An add-on that the Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons would love — a Xbox 360 controller mod that holds a Hot Pocket neatly in mouth’s reach.
Ben Heck, the electronics-modding maestro who’s given the world countless portable versions of their favorite video game consoles, has just made a new breakthrough that, much like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, will go down in history. Specifically, the history of wacky things that no one actually needs unless they’re really, really, really, really, (*takes a breath*) really, that lazy.
Credit to Ben though, this new item, which debuted on his latest episode of The Ben Heck Show, is off the charts into the far reaches of space, wacky; it’s a Xbox 360 Controller Hot Pocket Dispenser. Because really, who has time to make their food anymore, definitely not something that takes under five minutes to microwave. Cram it with walnuts to that idea! We’re busy people, with busy things to do — like playing video games all day in our underpants!
Down to the (greasy) details though; first, yes it’s an actual spring-loaded container for a Hot Pocket that clips right on the Charge-and-Play port of an Xbox 360 controller, and second, the dispenser allows for convenient consumption of your Hot Pocket by push-feeding it up at an appropriate eating-level so you won’t ever have to take both hands off your controller at any point. Ah, awesomely practical as always, Mr. Heck, awesomely practical as always.
Oh, and there’s a third too! If you’re handy enough in the modding department, Ben shows you step-by-step how to make the Hot Pocket Dispenser for your own Xbox 360 controller. That way if you really want to know how it feels to be shamefully judged in the confines of your own home, here’s the means to do it. On ward to the video!
