Skyrim was released just a few months ago in November and is available for PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows. Now, it turns out you can go ahead and play Bethesda’s top selling game on a TI-84 calculator.
Well, it is not an official release by Bethesda but has been unveiled by a really talented T1-84 tinkerer. The next time you have a Math exam, you could continue playing Skyrim instead of answering your question paper, if you didn’t know anything at all! YouTube user no9sniper worked on the calculator version of Skyrim all by himself and he has made the files available for download for free, which would also help him to stay away from legal notices, in a way. You could choose your name and which of the 3 races to play.
You would also be able to choose what to do with the tormented land of Skyrim. Of course, there would be hardware constraints considering it is a calculator and not a full-fledged console. Thus, you might have to forego a number of options and features that would be available in full versions of Skyrim. It is a great way to kill time at least for a few hours after you download it, even if you don’t like the game.
It could be one of those things that we just try to get our minds off something, even if it is trivial. Some experts believe that the calculator version resembles 80’s text based adventure games like Zork or Hitchhiker’s guide to the Galaxy than a game like The Elder Scrolls. You could also go ahead and take a look at Skyrim Live Action Short, which we featured recently. If you are in the mood for some music, do listen to the sweet notes of Skyrim Violin Cover, which is one of the best examples of geeky tunes.
