Wanting to get all of the luxury of a yacht in a smaller size, Italian firm Lazzarini have found a way to condense the type of ship into a small jet capsule.
For most people, the question of achieving levels of luxury unbeknownst to our day to day lives is often ‘can I afford this expensive champagne?’ or ‘can I afford to pay for this 5-star hotel?’. It almost always comes down to money. But for some, it may well come down to a lack of space. ‘Where will I park my many Lamborghinis? My Ferraris take up to much room’. For those who like their luxury to come with a side of nautical views, they might even shell out a few big bucks for a giant yacht. But, without enough room at the dock, they may find themselves stuck for choice. Luckily, for those who can afford it, Italian firm Lazzarini have found a way to provide yacht-like luxuries in a tiny jet capsule size.
Self-explanatorily named ‘Jet Capsule’, this 25 feet long and 11 feet wide luxury device gives you a taste of the champagne life even when you can’t afford a larger parking spot at the pier. With seating for eight, perhaps Lazzarini expect you to purchase this thing with 7 other friends, which is understandable as it hasn’t been priced yet but is expected to be rather pricey. But for the yet unannounced price, you’ll also get a bedroom conversion, a toilet, room to add a kitchen to the Jet Capsule’s main compartment plus teak flooring to deck it all out. The Jet Capsule has a diving platform too if you want to explore the sea’ and not just view it from your luxury sailing vehicle.
To get out on the blue waters the Jet Capsule has a Hamilton water jet engine, delivering 300 (diesel-powered) horsepower which sees it sail at up to 25 knots, or you can get twin engines that offer 500 horsepower. According to the designer the Jet Capsule is “a boat small enough to be easily maneuvered, yet spacious enough to take a handful of friends out for drinks, over to a port for an evening’s entertainment” but Lazzarini are also reportedly working on a version for the military, so you could see the Jet Capsule in the water by the dozens soon.
We’ll keep you posted once we know more.
