What happens when you mix Skeletor and Darth Vader together in a single mashup bust? You get an embodiment of villainy called Skevader.
Because of my somewhat geeky upbringing, Skeletor and Darth Vader always represented two of the most sinister, and somewhat silly, embodiments of evil, villainry and other bad-guy attributes that I have ever come across. Combining the two of them together would either result in the creation of the ultimate villain, or just end up giving Darth Vader a less menacing voice.
According to our source, a designer over at deviantART named Ryan Renders, combined the iconic villains from He-Man and Star Wars into a single sculpted bust he calls Skevader.
It’s quite remarkable how the bust is a lot like one of those pictures that asks whether you see the witch or the young girl. It’s all a matter of perspective, and changing that perspective can sometimes be a bit of a mind game. In this case, who do you see first? Is it Darth Vader or Skeletor? Or are you one of the few people who can see both at the same time?
Either way, the sculpture is very well done, and it looks like something that only a true professional could bust out, pardon the pun.
Hopefully in the future, Renders will get around to making a couple more mashups. While Darth Vader and Skeletor are somewhat similar, what with the helmets, evil faces and all, I can only imagine what sort of mixes you could get by crossing similar looking heroes.
